Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept Visa and Mastercard. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |
Shipping And Handling
Deliveries to Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland will cost £4.49 inc. VAT (free for orders over £100 / approx. €130). Items are sent via our couriers DHL, who will deliver direct to your door.
Deliveries to UK Mainland will be sent via Royal Mail or DHL(GB) depending on weight. A maximum £9.99 charge is applicable to UK Mainland orders. Some items (eg. Cots / Cot Beds) delivered to Mainland UK will be charged at £9.99 per item.
For items outside the UK & Ireland, please contact us for shipping costs which vary depending on weight.
Should our couriers attempt to make a delivery when you are not at home, they will leave a calling card with consignment details along with a telephone number of their local depot so that you can rearrange delivery on a suitable day for you. You can of course arrange to collect the goods from their depots. Should their calling card not be responded to, the goods will automatically be re-directed back to ourselves. If re-delivery is required at this stage you will be charged a carriage fee.
If you require our couriers to leave your order with a neighbour or other, you must notify us in writing via email. We cannot accept liability for goods left unattended upon your request. |
Delivery Schedule
We will endeavour to despatch any orders placed before 2pm Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) same day, orders placed after 2pm will be sent the following business day. Deliveries throughout Ireland will be delivered 1/2 business days (normally next working day). Orders to Mainland UK will be delivered to you in 2/3 business days. International orders are generally received in under 7 days. |

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. |
Tax Charges
All goods on this site are subject to the correct VAT rates (these will be shown on the invoice or receipt). VAT rates for baby/nursery goods are depending on the type of product and the combination in which they are purchased, a standard rate of 17.5% is applied to most items but some items are subject to a 5% or Zero VAT rate. |
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. |
Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. Baby Retail are happy to refund or exchange any product that you are not satisfied with, however they MUST be returned with 7 days (see our Returns Policy) |

Privacy Policy
Baby Retail do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
We do not store financial details for customers. If you order by telephone and pay by credit or debit card, your details are securely destroyed afterwards and we do not store them after the transaction is satisfactorily completed. If you order online, your details are handled by PayPal, the best known and most secure way of using your card for online shopping. We do not accept direct payments from the internet so your details are safe and secure at all times.
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. Returns Policy
Any items purchased from us and returned (at the customer's expense) within 7 days of receipt, in their original condition, together with original packaging and receipt, will be accepted for a full credit, exchange or refund. It is not possible for us to refund the original cost of delivering the item/s.

Please endeavour to keep outer carton packaging in case of the need to return. The carrier may refuse collection if incorrectly packaged.
Baby Retail cannot accept responsibility for lost or misdirected returns. For your own protection, you should arrange for any goods to be returned by first class registered post or by courier.
This returns policy is in addition to your statutory rights, which will remain unaffected.
While we make every effort to prevent shipping damage, on rare occasions it may occur. For your own protection, please do not sign for merchandise until you have inspected it for damage. If there appears to be shipping damage, DO NOT accept the goods from the carrier. Please contact by email on returns@babyretail.co.uk or telephone 0870 850 8853 within 24 hours.
Returns for Repair/Inspection
If a fault is believed to have occurred, the product may be subject to the inspection at Baby Retail’s discretion, to determine if the fault is manufacturing or non-manufacturing. A copy of any report will be made available at the purchaser's request. A return and inspection fee of £19.99 will be charged in the event of a non-manufacturing fault.
Unused goods with a manufacturing fault, may be returned for refund or exchange.
For used goods, if a fault is discovered, dependant on the circumstances, the item will be repaired, replaced or the purchaser supplied with easy to apply spare parts.
Products out of the 6 months warranty will normally incur a collection and return carriage charge payable prior to collection of the item. Any repairs required for non-manufacturing faults, out of the 6 months guarantee will be chargeable to the purchaser. (The purchaser will always be contacted with a quote before any work is carried out).
